Sept. 06 Meeting Minutes Pardeeville Boys Club
Boys Club Meeting Minutes 9/6/2006
Attendance: Russ Knutson, Randy Schulte, Judy Thurston, Dan Slade, Shawn Mecum and Vicki Griepentrog.
Foundation has agreed to give Boys Club the upper part of the storage area if we purchase the materials and install the flooring in that space. This would be our payment and no monthly or yearly rent for that space will be requested by the foundation. Tentative date to have the materials and install the floor would be 9/23/06 after the 5th/6th grade football game.
Goal post bases are in and the uprights are at Russ’s house being painted. They are hoping to have them up by Thursday 9/7. Power to the scoreboard will also be done on Thursday 9/7.
We need Thank You’s sent you Dan Pulver, Guy Mitchell’s mom, Scott Merwin and Victor Herbert for all the work they have done in helping get the practice field ready to go. Judy Thurston will take care of this.
Officials are all set for the home games. We are paying Bret Achterberg $35 for each game and $30 for anyone else that comes with him.
We are running concessions at the Oct 14th double header. We will discuss what food and beverage options at the next meeting.
Dan presented two fundraising options, the Football Mania cards and food sales from T.J.R Distribution & Fund Raising. The choice was made to go with the Football Mania cards. Dan is going to order 200 cards, the cost is $0.15 each card for printing and $10 shipping which is needed to be paid up front. We will sell the cards for $20 and profit back to us is $15.23 per card.
We have a surplus of hats, t-shirts and sweatshirts that we are going to sell. Hats and t-shirts will be sold for $12 and sweatshirts for $20.
Our next meeting will be held on October 4 in the High School cafeteria.
