Baseball Updates:
It was discussed whether or not to continue pursuing a Chartered Little League Program in Pardeeville. The majority of the Board was in favor of continuing with this. There were several questions brought up. Shawn Meccum is going to contact Jeff Wolf at the District Office and get some answers to our questions and report back at the September meeting.
In talking with Jim Schlimovitz, President of the Portage Little League, they will welcome Pardeeville teams to come and play with them during their season. Jim stated that if Pardeeville doesn’t get enough kids interested he would have no problem drafting the Pardeeville kids that do want to play on their teams as it has happened in the past. If Pardeeville gets enough kids then we will form our own teams and play against the Portage teams. Also if Pardeeville has enough kids for teams in the League then Pardeeville will form their own ALL-Star Teams and not be on the Portage ALL-Star Teams.
Once we have more information from District next month the Board will make its final decision on the Baseball Program.
Meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting is set for Wednesday, September 5th at 6:00pm in Phil Kamrath’s room.
