Boys Club Meeting Minutes July 2006
Pardeeville Boys Club Minutes
July 5, 2006
The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by President, Russ Knutson. Those in attendance were, Russ Knutson, Judy Thurston, Chris Johnson, Vicky Griepentrog and Randy Schulte.
Old Business:
Brat Fry went great. We sold 175 brats, about 40 hotdogs, 6 cases of soda and water and several bags of chips. We made around $500.00. There are still a few outstanding bills that need to be paid. We could have used more water and diet soda and less Mt. Dew.
Thank you note was sent to Mike Zimmerman for letting us use his lot for our brat stand again this year.
Vicki mention that she would go ahead and make this year’s payment of $500 to the Bulldog Foundation.
Football pants, pads and belts that we voted on last month have been ordered. Also the football helmets that needed to be refurbished have been sent in.
The bleachers that we voted on last month for the Middle School Gym have been discussed with Mr. Edwards. He was going to get final approval from the School Board at the next meeting and get back to us on there decision; once approved we will go ahead and order them.
New Business:
The Bulldog Foundation asked if the Boys Club would be interested in purchasing field goal post for the new practice field. The Foundation will purchase the scoreboard. Field goal post will cost about $1200. It was voted on by the Club that we would purchase the field goal posts.
Russ is going to work with Mike Haynes on setting up the football schedules and which games will be played on the new field and which games will be played on the practice field.
Russ mentioned that yellow practice jerseys for the 4th graders need to be purchased this year. Russ will talk to Chad Hoff about ordering them for us.
We decided that the old white pants will be available for sale to anyone who would like to purchase them. We will sell pants with pads for $10 each. They will be available to purchase at equipment hand out day.
Equipment hand out day is going to be Monday August 14th, more information to come on this.
Football coaches were discussed for this year. Randy Schulte will be responsible for getting coaches for the 4th grade team. Russ Knutson will be responsible for the coaches for the 5th/6th grade team.
The first football practice for both teams will be on August 8th and games will start the first Saturday after Labor Day. There will be another weigh in for any one who missed the first one and still wants to play football this year. It will be on August 1st from 6p-8p in the Weight Room. If you are unable to make the weigh in but still want your child to play please contact Russ Knutson at 429-3977.
